Advanced Cloud Engineer

About the role

Invesco is seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and ongoing improvement of its AWS‑based cloud platform. The role focuses on building secure, scalable infrastructure using modern automation practices while collaborating closely with development and platform teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop Infrastructure as Code to automate provisioning and embed security and compliance controls.
• Design and implement a secure Cloud Foundation, reusable patterns, templates, and accelerators.
• Monitor performance, user feedback, and key metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Provide technical mentoring and knowledge transfer to other technology resources.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize features, and manage the product backlog.
• Implement IAM policies, encryption, network security controls, and other security measures for hybrid and public environments.
• Conduct vulnerability management, compliance enforcement, and penetration testing.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and operating cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Strong understanding of security, compliance, and risk management in cloud environments.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with developers and platform teams.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a proactive attitude toward automation.
