Adult Education Data Intern (Unpaid)

About the role

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking an Adult Education Data Intern to support its Adult Education Department in New Jersey. This unpaid internship offers hands‑on experience collecting, managing, and analyzing both qualitative and quantitative data related to English Language Training and other adult education programs.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in training for the IRC’s internal case management platforms (Efforts to Outcome and Client Track).
• Record case notes, attendance, and assessment data for English Language Training and other adult education programs.
• Enter and organize data in internal databases and Microsoft Excel.
• Create, collect, and analyze course feedback surveys.
• Assist in preparing semi‑annual and annual reports using Excel.
• Identify and correct data discrepancies to ensure data quality.
• Develop workflow automations with Power Automate.
• Perform data analysis and visualisation using PowerBI.
• Maintain organized files and records for the department.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or recently completed a degree program related to education, data analysis, or a similar field.
• Strong interest in adult education and humanitarian work.
• Detail‑oriented with the ability to manage multiple data entry tasks.
