Admissions Clerk (PRN) – Hospital Admissions

About the role

Cabinet Peaks Medical Center is seeking a flexible Admissions Clerk to support inpatient admissions and outpatient registrations. The role reports to the Patient Financial Services Manager and may provide backup for other business office functions.

Key responsibilities

• Arrange efficient admission of inpatients and registration of outpatient services across multiple departments.
• Collect and enter patient demographics and insurance data into the Meditech ADT system.
• Perform reception, cashiering, and switchboard duties as needed.
• Verify insurance coverage using web‑based tools and collect patient deposits, copayments, and deductibles.
• Ensure compliance with EMTALA, HIPAA, and other regulations.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1 year of related experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a courteous, customer‑service orientation.
• Ability to follow federal, state, and hospital policies and multitask in a high‑traffic environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Meditech ADT system.
• Strong typing ability and familiarity with standard office equipment (phones, fax, copier).
