Adjunct Music Faculty – Voice, Strings, Trombone, Mariachi

About the role

East Texas A&M University is seeking qualified adjunct faculty members to teach music courses across several specializations, including voice, string methods, trombone/euphonium, and mariachi. These part‑time positions support the Music Department’s curriculum throughout the academic year.

Key responsibilities

• Teach up to two courses (maximum seven semester credit hours) per term in the assigned discipline.
• Deliver instruction on‑campus, off‑campus, or online, according to student demand and departmental needs.
• Develop and manage course syllabi that meet department and college standards.
• Design lectures, class discussions, assignments, and assessments.
• Evaluate student performance through participation, assignments, exams, and performances.
• Provide mentorship and academic support to students.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the department.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Music.
• At least one year of collegiate teaching experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
• Ability to multitask and collaborate effectively with colleagues.
