About the role
Bergen Community College is seeking qualified adjunct instructors to teach Criminal Justice, Criminal Law, and Criminology courses for the Fall and Winter 2026 semesters. The position is part of the Department of Criminal Justice and Legal, which prepares students for careers in law enforcement, corrections, and security.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver undergraduate courses in Criminal Justice, Criminal Law, and Criminology.
- Develop and update course materials, syllabi, and assessments.
- Evaluate student performance through assignments, exams, and projects.
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to students.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum planning.
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Criminal Justice or a closely related field.
- Minimum of one year of college‑level teaching experience.
