Actuarial Director - Consolidated Reporting & Regulatory Oversight

About the role

MassMutual is seeking an Actuarial Director to lead consolidated actuarial valuation reporting across the enterprise, delivering quarterly and year‑end results and guiding regulatory oversight. The role partners with finance, legal, reinsurance and technology teams to ensure high‑quality, transparent reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and deliver quarterly and year‑end consolidated valuation results, disclosures and reporting deliverables.
• Analyze reserve movements, earnings impacts, assumption changes and experience variances to provide forward‑looking insights to senior leadership.
• Establish and maintain valuation governance, documentation, controls and change‑management standards.
• Lead the annual asset adequacy and cash‑flow testing cycle, including planning, coordination, aggregation and communication of results.
• Develop and oversee an enterprise‑wide actuarial regulatory monitoring framework and represent valuation in internal and external working groups.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, finance or related field.
• Fellow of the Society of Actuaries with 7+ years actuarial experience in valuation and reporting.
• 5+ years experience with valuation systems and 3+ years exposure to valuation regulations and US Statutory/GAAP reporting.
