Accounts Receivable Specialist

About the role

Overjet, a leader in dental AI, is hiring an Accounts Receivable Specialist to act as the first line of defence for its customers' billing and collections. The specialist handles billing inquiries, invoice follow-ups and payment collections, resolving issues with customers and working cross-functionally with Finance, Customer Success, Sales and Operations. The position is fully remote, with work between 9 am and 5 pm ET, paid in USD.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact for customer billing questions by email and phone
• Follow up proactively on outstanding invoices to secure timely payment
• Investigate and resolve billing issues by coordinating with Sales, Customer Success and Finance
• Track billing inquiries and collection activities and keep clear documentation
• Clarify invoice details and resolve disputes with customers, including in escalated situations
• Identify recurring billing issues and help improve processes to prevent them
• Maintain accurate customer billing records and payment status
• Support the Finance team with billing and collections reporting and operational improvements

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or a related field
• 1-4 years of experience in customer support, billing operations, collections or a similar customer-facing role preferred
• Able to work continental US hours
• Strong written and spoken English, demonstrated during the interview
• Highly organized, proactive, persistent and able to manage several conversations and priorities at once
• Experience in fast-paced or high-growth environments is a plus

Required skills

• Familiarity with CRM, ticketing or billing systems (e.g. Salesforce, NetSuite, Intercom, Stripe) is a plus
