Accounting Manager

About the role

The Accounting Manager will oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, close processes, and payroll operations for a growing, private‑equity‑backed professional services firm. This high‑impact position offers significant growth opportunities, leading process improvements, system optimization, and partnering with leadership on financial accuracy and strategic reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end AP and AR processes, vendor reconciliation, invoice preparation, billing cycles, and collections strategy.
• Own monthly, quarterly and year‑end close activities, journal entries, balance‑sheet reconciliations, and audit package preparation.
• Oversee payroll processing, tax compliance, and related GL accounting using BambooHR.
• Lead system configuration, automation initiatives, and support the ERP transition to Deltek.
• Drive M&A integration activities, including post‑acquisition consolidation and financial due diligence.
• Mentor junior accounting staff, establish workflows, and provide performance coaching.

Required profile

• 3–5+ years of Big 4 public accounting or equivalent professional services experience.
• Hands‑on expertise in AP, AR, GL accounting and month‑end/ year‑end close processes.
• Payroll accounting experience, including processing, reconciliation and tax compliance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Strong attention to detail, audit‑ready mindset and process‑improvement orientation.
