Account Manager – Commercial Sales

About the role

As an Account Manager – Commercial Sales you will be responsible for growing sales within an assigned geography or vertical market. You will manage a portfolio of 30‑35 existing accounts generating $2‑3.5 million in annual revenue and work closely with internal teams to deliver Grainger’s MRO solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute account plans to achieve sales growth targets.
• Maintain and expand relationships with 30‑35 assigned customers.
• Utilize Grainger’s Salesforce CRM to track activities, forecast sales, and manage the sales pipeline.
• Identify new business opportunities and cross‑sell complementary products.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing while ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Collaborate with the District Sales Manager and support functions to resolve issues and deliver value.

Required profile

• Proven experience in B2B sales or account management, preferably in industrial or MRO markets.
• Track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Ability to manage a mid‑size portfolio and prioritize activities effectively.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Salesforce CRM.
