Account Executive – Remote SaaS Sales

About the role

SimpleTrials is seeking a motivated Account Executive to join its growing Business Development team. This fully remote position focuses on acquiring new customers for its cloud‑based Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) and electronic Trial Master File (eTMF) solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop and close new business opportunities across pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, CRO and academic research markets.
• Manage the full sales cycle—from prospecting and discovery to product demos, proposal development, negotiations and contract execution.
• Build and maintain a healthy pipeline through outbound prospecting, inbound leads, referrals and networking.
• Collaborate with Business Development Representatives and Marketing to maximize lead generation and conversion.
• Maintain accurate opportunity records, forecasts and pipeline reporting in Salesforce CRM.

Required profile

• 3+ years of successful B2B sales experience, preferably in SaaS, enterprise software or cloud technology.
• Proven ability to manage the full sales cycle and consistently achieve sales targets.
• Strong consultative selling skills with experience engaging multiple stakeholders in complex buying processes.
• Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and relationship‑building abilities.
• Self‑motivated, adaptable and comfortable working independently in a fast‑growing organization.

Required skills

• Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
