Account Director - Social Media & Influencer Marketing

About the role

1000heads is looking for an Account Director to lead retainer clients, campaign projects and new business for a leading tech brand. The role sits alongside the Group Account Director, combining internal leadership of a team with external client management and business development. It is a hybrid position based in New York, with two days per week in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Lead retainer clients, new business initiatives and leverage client relationships to drive growth
• Deliver strategic, social-first client presentations and creative solutions
• Own client financials, including forecasts, budgets and investments, and work with the finance team so invoices are paid on time
• Train and coach team members, and oversee project back-schedules and cross-functional delivery
• Track progress across functions and milestones, and keep up with industry trends and competitors
• Ensure work quality meets client needs and agency standards

Required profile

• 8+ years of agency experience; tech or related industry is a strong advantage
• Background in account management, ideally in a social and influencer environment
• Experience with influencers, creators and talent, and paid media campaigns
• Demonstrated growth of brands you have worked with
• Ability to manage direct reports and travel (about 10-20%); must live near the New York office

Required skills

• Running influencer programs and managing social media channels
• Creating and implementing social media strategies
• Managing a $2M+ account and big, complex client accounts
• Google Workspace (Slides, Sheets, Docs)
• Social and creator tracking tools such as Sprinklr, CreatorIQ and Captiv8
