About the role

ACCEL Schools is seeking a passionate 2nd Grade Teacher for Cornerstone Academy in Westerville, Ohio. The teacher will deliver a rigorous, research‑based curriculum while fostering a supportive, socially‑emotional classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and adapt lesson plans throughout the school year.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and development.
• Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning atmosphere.
• Utilize school‑approved curricula that reflect cultural and linguistic diversity.
• Communicate regularly with families about academic and social‑emotional growth.
• Integrate technology into daily instruction to support learning.
• Participate in non‑instructional activities and collaborate with colleagues.

Required profile

• Active Ohio teaching license in the appropriate content area.
• Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.
• Comfort working in a growth‑focused coaching environment with frequent observations and feedback.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to supervise students in various settings and pass background checks.
