Workforce Success Program Coordinator

About the role

The Department of Central Management Services (CMS) is hiring a Human Resources Specialist to serve as Workforce Success Programs Coordinator for the Division of Recruitment and Retention. The position reviews applications and assesses the needs of individuals for Workforce Success Programs, including the Alternative Employment Program (AEP), the Workers with Disabilities Trainee Program and Reasonable Accommodations Programs. It suits someone with customer service experience focused on the needs of job applicants, particularly those interested in serving workers with disabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Review applications and assess the needs of individuals for Workforce Success Programs
• Support the Alternative Employment Program (AEP), the Workers with Disabilities Trainee Program and Reasonable Accommodations Programs
• Help persons with disabilities obtain the accommodations they need
• Provide state employees and other public job seekers with information on how to apply and gain employment with the State of Illinois

Required profile

• Detail-oriented and organized
• Strong communicator with customer service experience
• Bilingual skills are welcome
• Interest in serving workers with disabilities
• Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; the State does not sponsor employment visas

What we offer

• Anticipated starting salary of $6,820 per month, with a full range of $6,820 to $9,875 per month
• Full-time, salaried position with an anticipated hybrid schedule of 3 to 5 days per week in the office
• Work hours 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday
