ERP Functional Expert - Payroll (Senior Public Service Administrator)

About the role

The Department of Innovation and Technology (DoIT) of the State of Illinois is hiring a Senior Public Service Administrator (skill option General Administration/Business Marketing/Labor/Personnel) to act as the Functional Expert in Payroll. The role oversees the lifecycle of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Human Capital Management (HCM) Talent Management Program, from design and implementation through to the operational steady state. The position is full time, salaried, Monday to Friday 8:30am-5:00pm, with an anticipated hybrid schedule of 1 to 5 days per week in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, develop and implement multi-jurisdictional payroll policies and procedures for the payroll area of the program, both during and after implementation.
• Work with program leadership to coordinate and control the implementation and support of the payroll module within the program.
• Assume an expert role on payroll in the permanent organizational structure that oversees the program's cost implementation.

Required profile

• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; the state does not provide visa sponsorship.
• Bilingual skills are welcome.
