Vascular Neurologist – Stroke Care Leader

About the role

The Vascular Neurologist will join the high‑volume stroke program at Lehigh Valley Health Network’s Cedar Crest campus, providing comprehensive cerebrovascular care across inpatient and outpatient settings.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 24/7 advanced stroke care, including rapid assessment, endovascular therapy, and neurovascular surgery.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of neurologists, neurointerventionalists, neurocritical care specialists, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners.
• Participate in tele‑medicine stroke consultations for LVHN’s network of primary stroke centers.
• Contribute to education, research, and quality improvement initiatives within the Fleming Neuroscience Institute.

Required profile

• Board‑certified/eligible in Neurology with fellowship training in Vascular Neurology or Stroke.
• Experience in managing high‑volume stroke services and coordinating inter‑facility transfers.
• Commitment to work‑life balance and participation in structured call schedules.

Required skills

• Proficiency in advanced neuro‑imaging interpretation.
• Expertise in endovascular therapy and neurovascular surgical techniques.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary stroke teams and mentor trainees.
