Valet Manager

About the role

The Valet Manager leads daily Patient Assisted Parking Services at Albany Stratton Veterans Affairs Medical Center, ensuring timely vehicle handling, staffing coverage, and compliance with VA policies.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee valet operations, maintain vehicle wait times under ten minutes, and manage staffing assignments.
• Supervise and support valet attendants, perform attendant duties when needed, and ensure safety, security, and key control procedures.
• Maintain daily logs, timesheets, vehicle count reports, and submit required reports to the Contracting Officer's Representative.
• Coordinate with VA Police on emergencies, incidents, and key control, and address operational issues and performance risks.

Required profile

• U.S. citizen with a valid driver’s license and at least 2 years of driving experience (automatic and manual).
• Minimum 6 months of patient‑assisted parking experience in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors for extended periods and lift up to 25 lb.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills and ability to follow VA policies and training requirements.

Required skills

• Valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Proficiency in operating passenger vehicles in various weather conditions.
