Urgent Care Physician Assistant

About the role

Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a full‑time Urgent Care Physician Assistant to join the JeffExpress Urgent Care at Schuylkill Medical Plaza in Pottsville, PA. The clinic operates 7 days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and provides on‑demand care for minor injuries, illnesses, and point‑of‑care testing.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality, on‑demand urgent care services autonomously within scope of practice.
• Perform on‑site procedures, point‑of‑care testing, and manage minor injuries and illnesses.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of APCs, physicians, nurses, and support staff.
• Utilize network‑wide protocols and Epic electronic medical records for documentation and referrals.

Required profile

• Current Pennsylvania state license as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (or ability to obtain one).
• NCCPA Board Certification (PA) or national NP certification (AANP or ANCC).
• Two years of relevant clinical experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, primary care, or a similar specialty (preferred).
• Passion for clinical work and commitment to patient safety and experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Epic electronic medical records.
• Experience with point‑of‑care testing and on‑site procedures.
