Traveling Construction Superintendent (Naples, FL or Asheville, NC)

About the role

Roers Companies is looking for an energetic Construction Superintendent who can travel to or relocate to the Naples, FL area (or Asheville, NC). The role involves leading onsite teams on large commercial projects, particularly multifamily developments, and delivering results from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and external teams to coordinate project schedules and sequencing.
• Forecast manpower, equipment, and material needs while respecting budget limits.
• Plan and oversee all onsite construction activities, ensuring milestones are met.
• Evaluate progress, prepare detailed reports, and maintain daily logs for management.
• Enforce health, safety, and building code standards, reporting any issues promptly.
• Use scheduling software to update timelines, track progress, and document project evolution.
• Coordinate subcontractors, conduct quality and safety checks, and provide on‑site direction.
• Adjust operations as needed to meet construction deadlines and provide value‑engineering options for cost efficiencies.
• Maintain positive relationships with city officials, owners, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Required profile

• Strong experience on large commercial projects; multifamily experience is a plus.
• Ability to “hit the ground running” and work independently.
• Passion for the work, integrity, teamwork, and an ownership mindset.
• Willingness to travel or relocate to Naples, FL or Asheville, NC.

Required skills

• Proficiency with scheduling software.
