Senior Field Engineer

About the role

Join the Florida team of PC Construction as a Senior Field Engineer, leading layout operations on water and wastewater projects. You will oversee field measurements, maintain project controls, and guide assistants through all phases of project layout.

Key responsibilities

• Perform site engineering work on mid‑to‑small sized projects with oversight from the project team.
• Supervise field engineer assistants and ensure accurate use of surveying equipment.
• Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, as‑built drawings, and project record documents.
• Calculate quantities, heights, depths, and control lines, and post as‑built information and RFI responses.

Required profile

• At least five years of field engineering experience, preferably in water/wastewater construction.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and submittals.
• Basic math skills with willingness to learn plane geometry and trigonometry.

Required skills

• Robotic total stations and RTK GPS operation.
• Experience with Trimble and Topcon surveying products.
• Basic AutoCAD proficiency.
• Understanding of BIM software and related technology.
