Technical Support Management (TSM) System Specialist

About the role

Cortina Solutions seeks a Technical Support Management (TSM) System Specialist to support the U.S. Coast Guard Offshore Patrol Cutter (OPC) Program Resident Inspection Office in Mobile, Alabama. The role involves administering TSM systems and tracking electronic trial card deficiencies throughout ship construction, inspection, and sea trial phases.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as local administrator for the TSM system and maintain ship‑specific deficiency databases.
• Track deficiency records from creation through verification and closure across inspection and trial events.
• Support surveillance, test witnessing, compartment completion inspections, corrective action requests, and trial card tracking processes.
• Assist OPC PRO and INSURV personnel with creation, processing, and management of ETC trial cards.
• Generate trial card status reports, metrics, and prepare technical briefings, milestone reviews, and audit materials.
• Coordinate responses to INSURV database requests and provide system overviews and user support to Government and shipbuilder personnel.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum six years of experience supporting ship construction deficiency tracking, inspection programs, or trial card management.
• Current CompTIA Security+ certification (or ability to obtain).
• Active DoD SECRET security clearance.

Required skills

• Experience with Government TSM system and Electronic Trial Card (ETC) tool.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to operate in shipyard and waterfront environments and support deployable network capabilities.
