Technical Project Manager – ALD New Product Transitions

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead ALD New Product Transitions in Austin. You will coordinate manufacturing builds, manage program schedules, and ensure products meet performance, capacity, and quality goals.

Key responsibilities

• Interface with engineering, test, quality, and operations teams to launch and release new ALD products.
• Develop manufacturing strategies, build/test specifications, and documentation for lab chambers through pilot line and DTOR shipments.
• Estimate manufacturing costs, apply DFx principles, and drive continuous‑improvement actions.
• Conduct failure analysis, root‑cause investigations, and implement corrective actions.

Required profile

• 2‑7 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing or related engineering discipline.
• Demonstrated project‑management expertise and ability to work cross‑functionally.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to solve straightforward problems using standard procedures.
