Team Lead - Distribution (Day Shift)

About the role

TTI Consumer Power Tools, Inc. is hiring a Team Lead for its Anderson, SC location, covering the day shift of shipping and/or receiving operations. The role leads and coordinates the activities of shipping and receiving operators and their support staff, with a focus on quality goals and productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Train internal employees and temporary staff according to quality and customer specifications.
• Supervise personnel daily and help escalate performance issues to the Supervisor/Manager.
• Ensure adherence to company and department processes and protocols, and recommend staffing changes to match work volume.
• Maintain availability of supplies and tools, and recommend updates to procedure documentation or manuals.
• Respond safely to potential accident-causing situations and maintain a positive safety attitude.
• Communicate with supervisors and management on issues and equipment problems, and comply with department and facility rules.
• Maintain warehouse security and escort unauthorized persons out of warehouse areas.

Required profile

• High school education or 2-3 years of experience in a warehouse environment.
• No final warnings and no more than 6 attendance points; efficiency and quality goals met for the previous 3 months; currently in the same role for 6+ months.
• Ability to prioritize by workload and production schedule, work independently and under pressure, and interface with people across departments.
• Physical demands include regular standing, walking, lifting and moving up to 50 lbs, and working in varying temperatures.

Required skills

• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Data processing, PC and order entry experience preferred; Word and Excel preferred.
