Operations Manager - Distribution

About the role

TTI Consumer Power Tools, Inc. is hiring an Operations Manager for its Anderson, SC office. The manager supervises distribution associates who handle the receipt, storage, order filling and loading of inventory in their assigned areas of a distribution facility, and carries functional responsibility for one large or several areas such as receiving, bin or bulk picking and outbound functions.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise receipt, storage, order filling and loading of inventory.
• Provide leadership and motivation to associates and foster an open, collaborative work environment.
• Assist management in problem-solving and project coordination.
• Recruit, train and develop department associates, plan short-term staffing coverage and conduct performance reviews and salary review recommendations.
• Monitor and record productivity and accuracy, administer safety programs and OSHA compliance, and enforce policies and procedures.
• Keep the warehouse physically safe and healthy.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 5 years in a production, logistics or B2B distribution facility, including 2 years of supervisory experience.
• Study in business, engineering or logistics/distribution management preferred.
• No final warnings, no more than 6 attendance points, efficiency and quality goals met in the last 3 months, and currently in the same role for 6+ months.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand and walk for long periods, and work independently and flexibly.

Required skills

• Knowledge of warehouse operations, warehouse management systems, inventory control and/or logistics preferred.
• Strong communication, leadership, decision-making and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated, able to follow up and deliver tough messages on performance.
