About the role

As a Systems Engineer at Applied Materials, you will design, integrate, and optimize complex semiconductor systems, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to develop advanced solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and design complex components, modules, and subsystems, ensuring they meet market requirement specifications.
• Lead architecture brainstorming sessions, evaluate alternatives, and select final subsystem architectures.
• Build and qualify prototypes or procure subsystems, testing for compliance with detailed specifications.
• Support system integration during assembly and final testing, performing reliability tests and making necessary design adjustments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• 4–7 years of experience in systems engineering or related fields.
• Ability to coordinate with project marketing and management to understand subsystem requirements.

Required skills

• Systems engineering and architecture design.
• Prototype development and testing.
• Risk identification and mitigation.
• Support for electrical, mechanical, physics, algorithm, and software design integration.
