Support Engineer II

About the role

The Support Engineer II will research electrical, electronic, and mechanical design issues, address obsolescence problems, and support field installations and maintenance for Atec companies.

Key responsibilities

• Sustain and update existing electrical and mechanical designs, including drawings and Bills of Material.
• Utilize ERP software to create purchase requisitions, order parts, and track production.
• Determine testing methods to verify product operability and functionality.
• Travel to assist with field installations, preventative maintenance, and product shipping.
• Maintain customer relationships during installation and ensure compliance with AS9100/ISO standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology or Mechanical Engineering Technology preferred, or 4‑8 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Valid Texas driver’s license.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions and accept constructive criticism.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with Computer Assisted Drawing (CAD) or AutoCAD LITE.
• Familiarity with ERP systems.
• Knowledge of MIL‑SPECs and DOD‑STD‑100 is a plus.
