About the role

Join the Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice as a Supply/Warehouse Clerk 2 in Columbus, GA. Working under general supervision, you will be responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing a variety of materials, equipment, and supplies to support agency operations.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver and transport supplies throughout the facility.
• Determine proper storage methods, labeling, and placement based on turnover and environmental factors.
• Issue or sell supplies and merchandise to internal customers.
• Mark items using identification tags, stamps, or electric marking tools.
• Order supplies to maintain adequate stock levels.
• Pack and unpack items for storage in warehouses, tool rooms, and supply rooms.
• Receive, count, and record items manually or via computer.
• Maintain orderly and accessible storage areas.
• Verify inventory by comparing physical counts to records.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of experience in shipping and receiving, or six months as a Supply/Warehouse Clerk 1 (or equivalent).
• Valid driver’s license may be required.

Required skills

• Computer data entry for inventory tracking.
