Sr. Project Engineer (East Coast)

About the role

Atlas Technica is seeking a senior project engineer to lead technical onboarding and delivery of infrastructure, cloud, cybersecurity and technology transformation projects for hedge‑fund and investment‑firm clients. This remote, client‑facing position works on the East Coast schedule and collaborates closely with project managers, engineers and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead technical onboarding and implementation of new client environments, including cloud SaaS, virtual servers, networking equipment, desktops and laptops.
• Design, implement and document secure solutions for client infrastructures and execute detailed work and transition plans.
• Perform cloud, infrastructure and security assessments, provide recommendations and deliver projects on scope, timeline and technical standards.
• Identify risks, dependencies and roadblocks, communicate proactively and provide regular technical updates to project managers and clients.
• Serve as escalation point and subject‑matter expert, mentor engineers and troubleshoot complex implementation issues.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of IT experience in desktop support, systems or infrastructure engineering, with a focus on client migrations and onboarding.
• Strong experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, Active Directory and enterprise networking equipment.
• Proven ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating across teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
