Sr. Director of Wealth Advisors

About the role

Santander is seeking a Sr. Director of Wealth Advisors to lead its Investment Advisor organization within the Wealth business. This senior position is responsible for shaping investment advice, portfolio construction, and the advisory process while delivering a high‑quality client experience across the platform.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the Wealth Advisor team to ensure strong client outcomes and consistent execution.
• Set clear performance expectations, professionalism standards, and investment discipline for advisors.
• Oversee daily investment activities, including portfolio positioning, model usage, and client suitability alignment.
• Partner with product, investment, banking, operations, and compliance teams to provide advisors with appropriate solutions and guidance.
• Establish the operating model for coverage, workflow, service standards, and escalation paths.
• Monitor key performance indicators such as advisor productivity, client engagement, asset retention, and investment adoption.
• Drive process improvements to enhance advisor efficiency and client experience.

Required profile

• Extensive investment acumen with deep knowledge of portfolio construction and advisory frameworks.
• Proven people‑leadership experience, capable of building a culture of accountability and high standards.
• Strong business judgment and ability to collaborate with senior leadership across banking, product, and compliance functions.
• Track record of delivering disciplined investment guidance and consistent execution at scale.
