Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) – Pflugerville, TX

About the role

The SPEAK Center for Language and Learning is seeking a compassionate Speech‑Language Pathology Assistant to support licensed SLPs in a school‑based setting in Pflugerville, Texas. You will work directly with children who have IEPs, assisting in therapy sessions and helping implement treatment plans.

Key responsibilities

• Assist licensed SLPs with individual and group therapy sessions, following prescribed treatment plans.
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies in collaboration with the supervising SLP.
• Maintain accurate student records and progress notes in compliance with TEA standards.
• Communicate regularly with families and school staff to reinforce therapeutic strategies.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology Assistant program (Bachelor’s preferred).
• Certification or eligibility for SLPA certification.
• Experience working with pediatric populations and a passion for helping children.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of speech therapy techniques and use of therapy materials.
• Ability to document and maintain detailed records.
