Solutions Architect – Remote Federal Healthcare Project

About the role

We are seeking a Solutions Architect to lead enterprise architecture and technology solutioning for a large federal government healthcare modernization effort. The role is 100% remote, supporting U.S. Census Bureau mission priorities, with occasional travel to the Washington, DC area for onsite meetings.

Key responsibilities

• Develop enterprise technical architectures, specifications, standards and solution‑development processes for Census Bureau systems and data platforms.
• Collaborate with Agile, SAFe, DevSecOps, cybersecurity, cloud, data, AI/ML and operations specialists to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, performant and cost‑effective.
• Produce clear architecture diagrams, data‑flow diagrams, workflows and implementation guidance.
• Lead technical briefings, architecture reviews, management reviews and documentation activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline with at least 10 years of IT, systems engineering or enterprise technology experience.
• Minimum five years leading Agile and DevSecOps delivery for U.S. Federal Government programs.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Government/Public Trust clearance.

Required skills

• Expert knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and data management/analytics.
• Experience with AI/ML architecture, system interoperability and application integration.
• Proficiency in Agile, SAFe and DevSecOps delivery models.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect or TOGAF.
