Solutions Architect - C2ISR

About the role

Trace Systems is looking for a Solutions Architect in Tampa, Florida, to support its C2ISR program and help grow it for U.S. government and mission partners. The role covers C2/ISR transport, C4ISR systems, sensor data infrastructure and C2 network requirements, working with customers and program leadership to turn operational needs into technical solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Define and govern reference architectures, standards and roadmaps (DoDAF/TOGAF) aligned to zero-trust, RMF/ATO, STIGs and COOP objectives
• Deliver strategy and resilience plans, architecture diagrams, technical reports and performance optimization recommendations
• Serve as a customer-facing technical representative and lead technical exchange meetings, solution reviews and architecture reviews
• Lead trades, modeling and interface control documents, chair design reviews, TEMs and TRBs
• Develop reusable reference architectures, solution patterns and technical approaches, and mature opportunities through proposals to funded execution
• Provide technical leadership across ISR systems, sensor integration, RF communications, SATCOM, LOS/BLOS transport, tactical networking, edge computing and ground infrastructure
• Develop secure architectures covering cybersecurity, COMSEC, red/black separation, CSfC, cross-domain, zero-trust and information assurance

Required profile

• Active, in-scope US government Top Secret/SCI clearance and US citizenship
• Meets DoD 8140 qualification requirements for Network Operations Specialist (Intermediate), via education, military training, certifications or a combination
• 15+ years of experience supporting DoD, Special Operations, Intelligence Community, ISR, communications, networking or systems integration, including customer-facing solution architecture
• Experience engaging government customers and turning requirements into funded opportunities

Required skills

• Understanding of ISR systems and sensor-to-user mission architectures
• Experience with several of: airborne ISR, C2/C4ISR systems, RF communications, SATCOM, LOS/BLOS, tactical radios, sensor integration, IP networking, ground gateways, mission-processing environments
• Preferred: experience with USSOCOM, Military Services or Combatant Commands, airborne ISR, PED, and ISR collection, processing, exploitation or dissemination
