Software Engineering Intern

About the role

Range is seeking Software Engineering Interns for a summer internship at its McLean, VA headquarters. You will work alongside experienced engineers to build real features that impact members, contributing meaningful code to the production platform from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Build and ship features across the web platform with a cross‑functional team of engineers, designers, and product managers.
• Write clean, well‑tested code for a secure, scalable production environment.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and engineering team rituals.
• Take ownership of an intern project with real user impact and present your work at the end of the program.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (graduation Dec 2027‑Jun 2028).
• Familiarity with JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar languages.
• Eagerness to work across the stack – frontend, backend, and infrastructure.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and curiosity for learning new technologies quickly.
• Excellent product instincts, thinking about users first.
• Ability to thrive in an ambiguous, fast‑paced startup environment.
