Software Engineer II – Notification Manager

About the role

Mastercard is seeking a Software Engineer II to join the Notification Manager team, responsible for the enterprise notification platform that processes high‑volume transaction events and delivers customer‑facing alerts via email, SMS, and APIs. You will work on distributed, event‑driven services that support fraud, security, and customer engagement products.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java/Spring Boot microservices for the Notification Manager platform.
• Contribute to event‑driven architecture using Kafka, improve resiliency, performance, and support cloud‑native deployments.
• Participate in production support, incident response, and root‑cause analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years of software development experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience with REST APIs, microservice architectures, and relational databases.
