Software Development Engineer – Relationships Identity Systems

About the role

Join Amazon's Relationships Platform and Services team in New York to build and operate highly available micro‑services that power product discovery across Amazon’s websites, mobile apps, Alexa and physical stores. You will help manage billions of related product records and deliver low‑latency, high‑throughput experiences for both sellers and shoppers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy new distributed micro‑services for related‑product sets.
• Enhance and scale existing high‑availability platforms handling millions of requests per second.
• Collaborate with senior and principal engineers on architecture, reliability, and performance improvements.
• Maintain operational excellence through monitoring, incident response, and continuous delivery pipelines.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional software development experience (non‑internship).
• 2+ years of experience designing or architecting scalable, reliable systems.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language and familiarity with full software development life‑cycle practices.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
