Snow Sports Instructor - Non-Certified

About the role

Join the Discovery Land Company team at Homewood Mountain & Lake Club on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe. As a Non‑Certified Snow Sports Instructor you will create memorable experiences for guests of all ages, delivering safe and engaging ski and snowboard lessons in a supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide professional, student‑centered ski and snowboard instruction to guests of varying ages and abilities.
• Assess skill levels, give constructive feedback, and recommend next steps for improvement.
• Promote safe riding practices, lift usage, and awareness of mountain conditions.
• Serve as a resort ambassador by delivering exceptional guest service on and off the snow.
• Assist with group organization, lesson scheduling, and class assignments.
• Stay current with industry best practices, resort programs, and safety protocols through ongoing training.
• Support resort events and initiatives that enhance the snowsports experience.

Required profile

• Ability to make round linked turns and control speed on groomed blue terrain.
• Knowledge of local mountain terrain, conditions, and resort operations.
• Experience working with children and ability to communicate effectively with guests and parents.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays and a minimum of 14 days of availability for part‑time instructors.

Required skills

• Proficiency in skiing or snowboarding on intermediate terrain.
• Understanding of safety and lift procedures.
