Service Technician – Riviera at West Village

About the role
This position performs technical and mechanical work that ensures the physical aspects of the buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas of the property meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, appearance, safety, and overall functionality. The role includes responding to resident service requests, completing preventative maintenance, and preparing vacant units for new tenants.
Key responsibilities
- Complete assigned work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing defects and making repairs per policies and codes.
- Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant apartments, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
- Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
- Document service requests accurately and maintain paperwork for tracking.
- Maintain grounds and common areas by cleaning, pressure‑washing, trash removal, and painting as needed.
Required profile
- Comply with Greystar safety and risk‑management policies, attend safety meetings, complete OSHA training, and report incidents promptly.
- Inspect work performed by contractors and vendors to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
- Perform routine property inspections to identify safety concerns and communicate maintenance needs to management.
- Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, lift up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance) and work in all weather conditions.
- Hold valid EPA Type I, Type II or Universal refrigerant recycling certifications and any state‑required licenses, plus a valid driver’s license where required.
