Service Technician for Village at Aspen Place
Greystar · Flagstaff
Job description
About the role
The Service Technician ensures that the physical aspects of the property—including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas—meet Greystar’s standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. This full‑time position supports both resident service requests and preventative maintenance.
Key responsibilities
- Complete work orders from resident requests and perform preventative maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairing according to policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
- Execute the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections, punch‑list creation, vendor coordination, and final quality checks.
- Manage inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, tracking usage and notifying supervisors of re‑order needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation for service requests and maintenance activities.
- Assist with grounds and common‑area upkeep such as trash removal, pressure‑washing, general cleaning, and painting.
- Support cost‑control initiatives by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible.
Required profile
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
- Capability to work in all weather conditions and lift up to 25 lb independently (50 lb with assistance).
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays on call.
- Valid driver’s license for operating a golf cart where required.
Required skills
- EPA Type I and II or Universal certification for refrigerant recycling.
- All state and local certifications required for service technicians.
- Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
What we offer
- Competitive medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance with low employee‑only costs.
- Generous paid time off: 15 vacation days, 4 personal days, 10 sick days, 11 holidays, plus birthday off after one year.
- On‑site housing discounts at Greystar‑managed communities (subject to availability).
- 6‑week paid sabbatical after 10 years of service (and every 5 years thereafter).
- 401(k) with company match up to 6% after six months.
- Paid parental leave and fertility benefit reimbursement up to $10,000.
- Employee assistance, pet, legal, and critical illness insurance plans.
