Senior Research Law Librarian (Remote, East Coast Hours)

About the role

The Senior Research Law Librarian provides expert legal and non‑legal research, reference, and document retrieval services to attorneys and staff. This remote, project‑based position supports East Coast hours and emphasizes client service, cost‑effective research, and collaboration on knowledge‑management initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver timely, high‑quality legal and non‑legal research, reference, and document retrieval services across practice areas.
• Provide strategic guidance on research approaches, source selection, and methodology to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
• Set up and maintain current‑awareness and litigation alerts, monitoring news, dockets, legislative and regulatory developments.
• Collaborate with attorneys and administrative teams, sharing insights and updates relevant to their work.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of legal reference and research experience, preferably in a mid‑size to large law firm or comparable environment.
• MLS or MLIS degree.
• Strong critical thinking, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
