Senior Manager, M&A Finance & Policy

About the role

The Senior Manager, M&A Finance & Policy will support all phases of the M&A deal cycle, from target analysis and management meetings through post‑closing accounting integration. The role works closely with Corporate Development, business units and cross‑functional teams to identify financial risks and opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive financial analysis of target companies, including historical performance, accounting policies, operational metrics and capital structure.
• Lead and coordinate financial due diligence, reviewing financial statements, accounting policies and related documentation.
• Structure and negotiate deal terms such as working capital and net debt, and manage transaction timelines.
• Coordinate post‑merger financial integration, consolidating systems, adjusting accounting, and aligning with Applied practices.
• Prepare accurate financial reporting for M&A activities, including purchase price accounting, intangible valuation, policy alignment and impairment testing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; CPA or equivalent certification.
• 7+ years of M&A due diligence experience at a Big 4 or major accounting firm, with 10+ closed acquisitions.
• 2+ years of managerial experience.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
