Senior Laboratory Technician

About the role

Join 3M as a Senior Laboratory Technician and work alongside innovative scientists worldwide. You will support product development by performing routine and complex laboratory tasks in a fast‑paced, safety‑focused environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance to scientists by testing and evaluating new materials and products.
• Develop and modify test methods and apparatus for new products and processes.
• Perform statistical data analysis, document experimental results, and communicate findings to requesters.
• Train new personnel on laboratory principles and maintain inventory of raw materials and supplies.

Required profile

• High School Diploma/GED or higher.
• At least six months of formal technical training in laboratory procedures.
• Two years of related experience in a private, public, government or military setting.
• Three years of experience using standard operating procedures and troubleshooting specialized lab equipment.

Required skills

• Laboratory testing and sample preparation.
• Statistical data analysis and basic mathematics.
• Operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of specialized laboratory equipment.
• Accurate documentation of test results and observations.
