Senior Financial Analyst – Finance & Accounting

About the role

BEST Logistics Group is seeking a highly analytical, results‑driven Senior Financial Analyst to join our Accounting & Finance team. This individual will serve as a strategic business partner across our seven operating divisions, providing financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, and operational analysis, and performing many accounting responsibilities related to month‑end close, internal and external financial reporting, and financial controls.

Key responsibilities

• Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for executive leadership and analyze revenue, expenses, profitability, margins, and KPIs across all divisions.
• Prepare financial forecasts, long‑range models, perform variance analysis and provide actionable recommendations.
• Assist the Controller in month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close processes, prepare journal entries, reconciliations and ensure GAAP compliance.
• Strengthen internal controls, support annual audits and coordinate with external auditors.
• Utilize Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains and McLeod Software to analyze financial data, improve reporting and evaluate transportation profitability, fleet utilization and operational performance.
• Partner with operational leaders to develop dashboards, reporting tools and support strategic planning, acquisitions and capital investment decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• 3+ years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, FP&A or corporate finance, including controller or assistant controller responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and internal controls.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, financial modeling).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
