Senior Counsel – Commercial

About the role

Rad AI is seeking an experienced Senior Counsel to lead commercial legal strategy and support product, engineering, and sales teams. You will help accelerate AI product deployment, protect partnerships, and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal counsel for AI research, model development, product, engineering, and sales initiatives.
• Negotiate commercial contracts to enable global delivery of AI solutions.
• Design and implement a privacy program that complies with HIPAA and Business Associate Agreements.
• Build scalable legal processes, tools, and a modern legal tech stack to support rapid growth.
• Monitor emerging legal and policy trends in generative AI to maintain regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of legal experience, with at least 2 years focused on commercial contracts and tech transactions, preferably in B2B SaaS.
• Juris Doctor from an ABA‑accredited school and active bar membership in a U.S. state.
• Background in healthcare technology or artificial intelligence.
• Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and shape legal strategies in emerging fields.
• Strong track record of building cross‑functional relationships.

Required skills

• Experience negotiating commercial contracts and technology transactions.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, Business Associate Agreements, and healthcare data privacy.
• Familiarity with AI and generative‑AI regulatory landscape.
