Senior Paralegal – Litigation Support

About the role
The Asian Law Caucus seeks a Senior Paralegal to support attorneys in all phases of immigration litigation. Working under the Immigrant Justice Program Director, you will handle case management, filings, discovery, and trial preparation in a hybrid setting.
Key responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with drafting and filing pleadings, motions, and other court documents in federal, state, and appellate courts.
- Manage discovery processes, including document review, exhibit organization, and deposition summaries.
- Provide trial and hearing support: assemble binders, arrange travel, and assist during proceedings.
- Prepare appellate records and appendices, conduct client interviews, and coordinate witness schedules.
- Maintain case files, deadlines, and electronic notes using Clio and SharePoint; process retainers and financial documentation.
Required profile
- Minimum five years of paralegal experience in complex litigation.
- Bachelor’s degree or ABA‑approved paralegal certificate preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Federal Rules of Civil Procedure, California Rules of Court, and legal terminology.
- Demonstrated commitment to social justice and immigrant communities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple high‑volume projects.
Required skills
- Proficiency with LexisNexis and Westlaw legal research platforms.
- Experience using Clio case‑management software.
- Document management in SharePoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication, including proofreading and Bluebooking.

- Salary range $90,270.72 – $101,599.92 per year, with language premiums of $1,500 for oral and written proficiency.
