Senior Contracts Officer

About the role

The Senior Contracts Officer will lead contract and subcontract management for high‑priority U.S. Navy initiatives, ensuring compliance, value, and timely execution across a portfolio of innovative projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead proposal and solicitation management, including RFP/RFQ preparation and kickoff coordination.
• Negotiate complex contracts, subcontracts, teaming and confidentiality agreements, and conduct cost/price analysis.
• Administer contracts and subcontracts, monitor performance, resolve disputes, and complete closeouts.
• Maintain contract files, databases, and deliverable tracking; prepare government consent and notification packages.
• Apply procurement policies, collaborate on funding and invoicing, and contribute to cost narratives for proposals.
• Mentor junior contracts staff and advise program managers on contractual rights and obligations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Contract Management or related field with 4+ years of experience.
• Extensive experience in government contract administration, negotiation, and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS and related regulations.
• Proficiency with contract management systems and financial analysis tools.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
