Senior Analyst, Online Experience Optimization

About the role

The Senior Analyst, Online Experience Optimization sits at the intersection of merchandising, product and eCommerce, bridging corporate priorities and digital execution. You will manage the digital shelf for key departments such as Cleaning, Plumbing, Building Materials and Flooring, combining digital asset optimization and site architecture. The role reports to the Manager, Online Experience Optimization and has no direct reports.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze customer information (external data, internal research, site behaviors, post-transaction data) to find the biggest opportunities to improve the customer experience across categories (40%).
• Identify improvements to taxonomy, purchase path (search and navigation), data content, SEO and post-transaction results through tactical execution (30%).
• Execute system changes for promotional activity (15%).
• Develop and run taxonomy changes needed to support new onboarding and business changes (15%).
• Translate performance metrics such as click-through rates, conversion and gross demand into narratives and recommendations, and collaborate with stakeholders on page refreshes.

Required profile

• A strong background in digital merchandising, e-commerce and/or retail customer experience; retail experience is highly preferred but the industry is flexible for someone who understands digital user behavior.
• Proven results in areas such as customer experience, product content optimization, product management, financial analysis, business analysis or data analytics.
• Ability to use data to tell a story, work in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment, and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• At least 2 years of work experience; legal permission to work in the United States.

Required skills

• Basic technical aptitude with web-based tools and advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to understand and influence cross-functional inputs to merchandising.
