Manager, Marketing Science

About the role

The Home Depot is looking for a Manager, Marketing Science to lead, develop and mentor a team of Marketing Science professionals who turn complex data into actionable insights on the effectiveness of marketing investments. The role works with Marketing, Finance, Merchandising, Online and Analytics teams to design and run measurement strategies such as marketing experimentation, personalization measurement and Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM), and to communicate findings clearly to business partners and senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders, business partners, developers and business analysts to deliver high-quality analytics solutions and meet business requirements.
• Present insights to executive leadership and peer teams, and frame and execute analytics such as KPI framework development and data strategy advice.
• Lead, mentor and coach individual contributors, attract and retain talent, document processes and build onboarding and training plans.
• Manage business requests and roadmaps, advise stakeholders on effort, and support the team in designing algorithms and models for large datasets.

Required profile

• Ages 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Experience managing and growing team members, and guiding juniors through data analysis and visualization.
• Preferred: a master's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience, and 5 years of work experience (6 preferred).
• Preferred: previous people or project team management experience, and 1+ year of leadership experience.

Required skills

• Advanced analytics tools such as Python, R, SQL, Jupyter Notebook, VertexAI and AutoML.
• Data visualization software, preferably Tableau.
• Preferred: experience with marketing experiments (randomized controlled trials, geo-lift, incrementality testing), MMM, media measurement, attribution and KPI framework building.
