About the role
The Schedule Engineer will support the $2.9 BN Red Line Extension (RLE) design‑build project in Chicago, developing and maintaining detailed construction schedules across all project phases.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules from pre‑construction to close‑out.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to gather requirements and constraints.
- Analyze plans, specifications, and drawings to create accurate schedules and identify critical and near‑critical path activities.
- Monitor progress, provide regular schedule updates, and conduct impact analyses for changes.
- Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers to align activities with the master schedule.
- Ensure compliance with contractual timelines and scheduling best practices.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum five (5) years of heavy‑construction scheduling experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to lead meetings.
- Organized document management and interpersonal skills.
Required skills
- Advanced knowledge of Primavera P6.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project.
- Competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- Experience with information‑management systems such as SharePoint, Smartsheet, ACC, or E‑Builder.
