Sales Operations Manager

About the role

The Sales Operations Manager is the operational backbone of The Home Depot's Inside Sales organization, supporting the Director of Inside Sales and three specialized teams (Pro Sales Representatives, Trade Sales Representatives and Digital Sales). The role provides infrastructure, processes, data and training resources to a growing team of inside sales associates, turning data into actionable insight and enabling effective workforce planning.

Key responsibilities

• Strategic planning: analyze business trends, sales performance and workforce requirements to build plans supporting growth and operational excellence.
• Process improvement: identify inefficiencies, design and implement scalable process changes, document SOPs and evaluate workflows across phone, online, email and SMS channels.
• Cross-functional program leadership: act as liaison with HR, Finance, Workforce Management and Technology, and support the Director of Inside Sales with projects and communications.
• Analytics and workforce planning: own performance dashboards, scorecards and KPIs, and lead capacity planning, headcount modeling and growth forecasting with Sales, HR and Finance.
• Training and operations support: coordinate training programs, new associate onboarding and ongoing development, working with Learning & Development.

Required profile

• Age 18 or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Preferred: 5+ years of experience in sales operations, business operations, program or project management, consulting, HR, learning and development or a related function.
• Preferred: proven experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives from concept to implementation, executive presence and stakeholder influence without direct authority.
• Preferred: experience building business processes and programs, championing AI-enabled tools, strong presentation skills to senior leaders, and advanced Microsoft Office (PowerPoint and Excel).
• Preferred: bachelor's degree or equivalent; no additional education or years of experience required.
