Sales Intern

About the role

The Sales Intern will join LexisNexis Risk Solutions’ National Cross Markets New Business Team for a 10‑week, on‑site internship in Alpharetta, GA. You will receive comprehensive new‑hire training and gain hands‑on experience in prospecting, outreach, lead development, and consultative selling within a fast‑paced technology and data‑solutions environment.

Key responsibilities

• Research and develop targeted prospect accounts through outbound phone outreach and email campaigns.
• Qualify prospective customers by identifying business needs, challenges, and key decision‑makers.
• Utilize CRM to record activities, route leads, and support sales‑as‑opportunity (SAO) management.
• Collaborate with Sales Executives to schedule discovery meetings and advance qualified opportunities.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in professional selling, marketing, business, or a related field with graduation expected in May 2028.
• Demonstrated curiosity about sales and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to engage professionally with prospective customers.

Required skills

• Experience or familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce.
• Use of LinkedIn Navigator for prospect outreach.
