Sales Engineer – Northwest IN / Northeast IL

About the role

Sandvik Coromant is seeking a customer‑focused Sales Engineer to serve the Northwest Indiana and Northeast Illinois region. You will act as the technical point of contact for customers, helping them select and apply cutting‑edge tooling solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships across the region.
• Deliver the full Coromant product and service portfolio.
• Identify new business opportunities and increase market share.
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide complete customer solutions.
• Consult on CNC machining and tooling applications using technical expertise.
• Maintain and optimise the sales pipeline with CRM tools for accurate tracking and forecasting.

Required profile

• Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Hands‑on experience with CNC machining, CAD/CAM, and cutting tools.
• Proven success in technical sales or other customer‑facing roles.
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel (approximately 10% overnight).
